Our giving in Education focuses on the professional development of educators and the continuous improvement of public education at the pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 levels. We seek to support customized schools and program options that address the varied talents, interests, and needs of educators, children, and families. Areas of interest include:

• Supporting early training and ongoing professional development of teachers, particularly in the areas of arts education and environmental stewardship.
• Developing and nourishing educational leadership that is imaginative and courageous.
• Providing opportunities for children to make or strengthen connections to the natural world, think critically and creatively, and discover their humanity through meaningful engagement with the arts.
• Fostering a passion for learning among students, and innovative instruction by teachers, particularly through community partnerships and experiential, place-based education.
• Providing highly motivated, talented, but underserved students with access to educational excellence.
